Rockies win 9-2 today against the Brewers!! This means they have clinched the Wildcard in the NL! They have 3 games left against LA and if they win all three they win the NL West division! Rocktober Round 2
Well it’s spring time and that means several things. One, my time spent inside on my computer is taking a backseat slowly and surely to being outside. Especially now since I have a house of my own to keep up with I have plenty to do including weeding, planting, mowing, painting, cleaning and all the joyous things home ownership brings. Another thing that comes with spring time is the NBA playoffs and as you all may know, my Denver Nuggets are killing it so far this year. I really haven’t missed hardly any games at all this year (thank God for Altitude), and I do mean from game one in the fall to game one of the playoffs and up until now. I am not your run of the mill local band wagon jumper; I even placed a bet on them to win back in October right after the Rockies blew it! Doesn’t it grind your gears when you are devoted and supportive of your team regardless of their record and then they finally are doing well for themselves and all these faux-fans come out of the woodwork, laying claim that they were always down for the cause?! Over the course of the last few days you all may have seen the Denver Broncos Quarterback Jay Cutler in the news and refusing to communicated with his team because there were rumors that they had listened to trade talk. In Denver he has quickly become the laughing stock of fans, talk radio hosts and news commentators. I was bored the other night and just had to contribute.
Honestly Jay? Chauncey Billups (n MVP of the NBA Finals mind you) was traded this year after spending six years in Detroit and you didn’t hear a peep out of him. Joe Montana was traded to the Chiefs after a hall of fame career in San Fransisco and not even a bad word was uttered. Brett Farve, another hall of famer, while he did get a lot of press coverage never acted even remotely close to the way you have. So my question to Jay Cutler is, who do you think you are?
